There are small Christmas markets right outside The Nicholas Hotel on Malostranské náměstí. Some lucky guests can even see them from their rooms.

Prague Castle Christmas Market

Prague Castle is hosting a Christmas market for the first time in its history. The castle is such an amazing place - one of the biggest castles in Europe, a home to a some of the most important kings and emperors, dating all the way back to 9th century.
The Christmas market in the Castle will make you want to just sit and relax among all this history, while having a cup of Svarak, mulled wine and a bite of Trdelnik, a cinnamon spiced pastry.

Visit Christmas market in the Old Town Square to experience the oldest and the biggest one of them all. The reputation of Old Town Square Christmas Market is owed a lot to its location - Old Town Square is a place where historical treasure such Gothic Church of Our Lady before Týnand and baroque St. Nicholas Church live, together with well known medieval astronomical clock Pražsky Orloj.

One cannot miss the tallest Christmas tree in Prague, either. 22 meters tall, the tree is washed in beutiful lights and decorations to make for a magnificent sight.

Wenceslas Square Christmas Market 30 min walk or 12 min by tram (6 stops)

Named after the patron saint of Bohemia, Wenceslas Square is a home to another lively Christmas market. The square has played an important part in the history of Czech Republic, and today is recognized as an important business and cultural centre.

Its location makes it possible for a relaxed taste of Czech traditional Klobasa, grilled sausage, with sauerkraut followed by a Christmas shopping in one of the numerous shopping centres nearby

Naplavka Market 25 min walk or 10 min by tram (5 stops)

Another farmers market, the one in Naplavka Market, will take you to all the way to the Vltava riverside. Located just next to Karlovo Namesti, this market offers something truly unique – a view of the Prague Castle.  Not strictly a Christmas market, it nevertheless offers the unforgettable experience of a kilometer long walk through stalls full of fresh products from all around the Czech Republic.
